About Me

My name is Paige and I live in Brooklyn, New York. I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2017 with a BFA in Apparel Design. During my education at RISD, I learned and mastered illustration and color coordination.

My professional work since graduating has focused on colorful and graphic print design. These prints were primarily created from original illustrations, but occasionally involved the manipulation of pre-existing artwork. These print designs were executed with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. 

In addition to my work in print design, I have significant experience in three-dimensional design from projects in toys and accessories. Upon graduating RISD, I spent two years with Betsey Johnson designing sculptural handbags. These handbags were entirely custom-built, allowing me the opportunity to design hardware, FOBs, embossing, and paper patterns. My work with Betsey Johnson also included operations management, communicating with production factories to ensure satisfactory development of the company’s products.

I have also worked with Steve Madden and DKNY on more traditional products. This work gave me the opportunity to design for a more mainstream clientele. My work at Steve Madden and DKNY included handbag design and print design, respectively. My logo-based prints for DKNY were used for soft accessories and cold-weather wear. Through my work at DKNY, I was also given the opportunity to develop a better understanding of commercial knitting development.

My personal work revolves around bold color choices and graphic line work. Currently, I am focused on manipulating fibers to create pop imagery. These images appear in the form of knits, textiles, and tufted tapestry. I enjoy working with recognizable icons while playing with prints and the relationships between colors to create funky images. I like when my art looks wrong - slightly out of perspective or questionably merged.

I am extremely passionate and comfortable working with colors and prints. I am a fast learner with a sharp eye for detail. My personal work blends humor with my distinct hand, while my professional work closely mimics the target brand’s aesthetic. I am self-motivated and I love to explore new options and techniques.
